Toddler breaks into store at 3 a.m. to play with toys!

Police called to a variety store by a burglar alarm overnight found a toddler inside, playing with the toys. Police said store surveillance video showed the unidentified boy trying to open one of the front doors to a Family Dollar store about 3 a.m. Monday, only to find it locked. But the second door was unlocked and the child went inside. That triggered the silent alarm.Detective Randy Stevens said the child apparently unlocked a door at his nearby home, got out, then crossed a multilane street to reach the store. A canvass of the neighborhood turned up a family member searching for the child.

CPS spokeswoman Shari Pulliam said Child Protective Services claimed oversight of a 4-year-old boy during a review of the incident. The boy will be allowed to stay with other relatives, not the parents, during the CPS review period.

!Story! Fla. Police Close Books on '81 Walsh Killing

It's about time people!!

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – A serial killer who died more than a decade ago is the person who decapitated the 6-year-old son of "America's Most Wanted" host John Walsh in 1981, police in Florida said Tuesday.

The announcement brought to a close a case that has vexed the Walsh family for more than two decades, launched the television show about the nation's most notorious criminals and inspired changes in how authorities search for missing children.

"Who could take a 6-year-old and murder and decapitate him? Who?" an emotional John Walsh said at Tuesday's news conference. "We needed to know. We needed to know. And today we know. The not knowing has been a torture, but that journey's over."

Walsh's wife, Reve, at one point placed a small photo of their son on the podium.

The suspect, Ottis Toole, had twice confessed to killing the child, but later recanted. He claimed responsibility for hundreds of murders, but police determined most of the confessions were lies. Toole's niece told the boy's father, John Walsh, her uncle confessed on his deathbed in prison that he killed Adam.

!Story! Secret Santa Spreads Cheer

The secret Santa was a protege of Kansas City's undercover gift giver, Larry Stewart, who died of cancer nearly two years ago. Stewart roamed city streets each December doling out $100 bills to anyone who looked like they might need a lift.

Before his death in January 2007, Stewart told a friend how much he would miss his 26 years of anonymous streetside giving, during which he gave away about $1.3 million. Stewart, from the city suburb of Lee's Summit, made millions in cable television and long-distance telephone service.

The friend promised Stewart he would be a secret Santa the next year. "He squeezed my hand and that was it," said the Kansas City Santa, who would say only that he was an area businessman and investor. "I honored a promise."

Am I To Old For This?

I don't want to wait, for our lives to be over...! We all know the song. Yes, I love Dawson's Creek!! When it first started airing, I didn't even watch it, but I got hooked after finding out that Joey choose Pacey over Dawson in the finale. I was watching the movie "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back" and James (the guy who played Dawson) was in it and they asked him how could he let Pacey still Joey from him.

I was surprised cause usually, on those type of shows, the main character always ends up with the main girl, usually. So I went to Television Without Pity and started reading the episode summaries and got hooked! Unfortunately, by then the show was canceled/over. I found out that TBS was airing it, so I started watching every morning. Here are a few of my favorite events/observations about the show:

1. Pacey and Joey together was so amazing! They had good chemistry and were just adorable.

2. Pacey was like the best boyfriend ever. He was sweet, affectionate and he really loved her. Dawson was alittle to selfish to give Joey what she needed.

3. The guy who played the dad was a hunk! I don't see how Gayle would ever cheat on him. She was stupid, but they ended up together until he died. Poor guy went out over some ice cream.

4. Jen dying was so sad. I cry everytime I when it happens. And when Grams comes over and says, "I'll see you soon, child." How could you not feel something. Especially since you know she was leaving that cute little girl behind.

5. The episode where Joey found out she was 4th in the school and got drunk cause Pacey had no college hopes and she didn't want to leave him and go off to college and she told him, "I want to stay and be with you", then he said "That's stupid cause I plan on being wherever you are." How sweet is that?!

6. The episode where they got trapped in a Kmart, Joey and Pacey, and during the night they discovered that they were not completely over each other. She shaved his chin pubes and they made out alittle. This was of course after the whole awful prom episode. Where Pacey dumped her in the middle of the dance floor. He was hurting inside so bad, and he immediately regretted it, but the damage was done. I hate the prom episode cause they tried to make Pacey look like an idiot. Of course the anti-prom episode was awesome cause Pacey and Joey were dancing, even though she went with Dawson, and he was telling her how he remember "everything".

See, when he confessed his love to her, Dawson had a fit and Joey decided to break up with Pacey so she could keep her friend, Dawson. But Dawson was not happy cause he then decided he wanted to be more then friends although the whole year he had been pawning off Joey to Pacey so he could decide what he wanted to do. See, Dawson was selfish!

Anywho, I have been alittle long winded. But if you haven't watch this show, you should. Of course the college years sucked. Mostly cause there was not enough Joey and Pacey for me, but then getting together in the end more then makes up for it. I heard in real life, Katie dated both James and Joshua and caused a rift in between them. I don't blame her, both of them are cute and I love their walks. Yes, they way they walk!! If you ever catch the show just look at the walks, their pretty nice :-)

So readers, "Am I To Old For This"?

I guess you can tell I am a Pacey & Joey fan!!

!Story! 8-Year-Old Confessed To Murders

This is an update on the story I posted before.

(UPI) – The police interview with the 8-year-old Arizona boy accused of killing his dad and another man was released because it is a public record, prosecutors said.

Police Tuesday released the taped interview of the boy being questioned about the shooting deaths of his father, Vincent Romero, 29, and Tim Romans, 39, who rented a room in Romeros' home in St. Johns, Ariz.

Police said the boy confessed to shooting both men with a .22-caliber handgun.

A judge issued a gag order in the case, barring police, prosecutors and defense attorneys from commenting on it. However, the judge modified it to allow public records -- including the police videotape -- to be released, Apache County Attorney Christopher Candelaria said.

"We released it because it becomes a public record and we're obligated to release it," Candelaria said.

A defense attorney said police didn't read the child his rights and the boy didn't have a lawyer or parent present during questioning.

On the tape, the boy initially denied involvement in the shootings but later said he shot his wounded father "because he was suffering."

Officers questioning the child urged him to speak honestly, with one saying, "If you're not honest with me, if you're not truthful, it's not going to look good."

What's The Matter With Kids Today? Pt. 3

A man who police believe was shot and killed by his 8-year-old son had consulted a Roman Catholic priest about whether the boy should handle guns and had taught him how to use them, the clergyman said Saturday. The father, Vincent Romero, 29, was from a family of avid hunters and wanted to make sure the boy wasn’t afraid of guns and knew how to handle them, said the Very Rev. John Paul Sauter of St. Johns Catholic Church. The boy’s stepmother had suggested he have a BB gun, the priest said. Romero taught his son how to use a rifle to kill prairie dogs, Sauter said. Police say the boy used a 22.-caliber rifle Wednesday to kill his father and another man, Timothy Romans, 39, of San Carlos. The priest did not say how he advised the couple or whether they decided to buy him a gun but said Saturday that the boy “was just too young.” “That child, I don’t think he knows what he did, and it was brutal,” said Sauter, who presided at the wedding of the father and stepmother.

The boy, who faces two counts of premeditated murder, did not act on the spur of the moment, St. Johns Police Chief Roy Melnick said. Police are looking into whether he might have been abused. “I’m not accusing anybody of anything at this point,” he said Saturday. “But we’re certainly going to look at the abuse part of this. He’s 8 years old. He just doesn’t decide one day that he’s going to shoot his father and shoot his father’s friend for no reason. Something led up to this.” On Friday, a judge ordered a psychological evaluation of the boy. Under Arizona law, charges can be filed against anyone 8 or older. The boy had no record of complaints with Arizona Child Protective Services, said Apache County Attorney Brad Carlyon. In a sign of the emotional and legal complexities of the case, police are pushing to have the boy tried as an adult even as they investigate possible abuse, Melnick said. If convicted as a minor, the boy could be sent to juvenile detention until he turns 18. The boy’s lawyer, Benjamin Brewer, said his client is generally in good spirits.

Officers arrived at Romero’s home within minutes of the shooting Wednesday in St. Johns, which has a population of about 4,000 and is 170 miles northeast of Phoenix. They found one victim just outside the front door and the other dead in an upstairs room. Romans had been renting a room at the Romero house, prosecutors said. Both men were employees of a construction company working at a power plant near St. Johns. The boy went to a neighbor’s house and said he “believed that his father was dead,” Carlyon said. Melnick said police got a confession, but Brewer said police overreached in questioning the boy without representation from a parent or attorney and did not advise him of his rights.

ST. JOHNS, Ariz. (AP) -- Mourners are crowding a rural Arizona church for the funeral of a man allegedly killed by his 8-year-old son.

The crowd Monday stood near an open door or sat on chairs set up outside St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in the community of St. Johns about 170 miles northeast of Phoenix.

Vincent Romero was shot Wednesday, along with a man who rented a room in his house. Police say Romero's son planned and methodically carried out the killings.

But the boy's attorney says police questioned the third-grader without representation from a parent or attorney and did not advise him of his rights.

The boy was due in court later Monday to face two counts of premeditated murder.

Calling All Fathers - Can We Talk???

/Rant\ Dead Beat Dads

I was watching one of those judge shows yesterday and their was a man on there who was denying his five kids. He said he could not produce kids cause when he was 13 he was in an accident where the doctor had to remove one of his testicles. Anywho, he met this woman and she got pregnant like the next month. At first he was cool, but the he started denying the baby. So he left her and she had the baby alone. Then he comes back, gets her pregnant again and then they get married.

So this went on for years, apparently and they ended up with 5 kids. Now the whole time he denying the kids, but he keeps coming back and she keeps getting pregnant, but they can't be his cause he can't have kids. And he isn't even working or helping her with the kids, he is kinda like her 6th kid cause she has to take care of him to. She is on disability or welfare cause she can't work cause she is in a wheelchair.

And one point in her life, her and the 5 kids were homeless cause she lost her house. They had to sleep in her car, but not the man. Oh no, he left to go live with his sister. Talking bout, he didn't know they was homeless! By that point the judge was pissed off!! She said he was trifflin and a SOB! I was like, what, the judge cursing! After the lady got an apartment, he go move back in! The judge was mad she let him come back. She was all "I love him!"

They were there to get a DNA test also, since he was denying the kids. Of course all 5 was his. He owed $49,000 in back child support payments!! He wasn't visiting the kids or nothing. And to make it so bad, he still didn't have a job. He had a new girlfriend to support him. The judge told her to take the results to court and get the support process going and she said she has tried, but since he won't work, what can they do. She also said, he would rather go to jail then pay support.

My hubby was telling me about one of his ex-workers who quit because he wanted a lower paying job so he wouldn't have to pay child support. This man was on his way to becoming a supervisor and he quit so he wouldn't have to pay child support. FOR HIS CHILD!!!

Stuff like that pisses me off. I was in a store and I overheard these guys talking about how one of them had to quit his job cause he didn't want to pay child support. How can people be so selfish and stupid. I'm not just blaming the men, the women are at fault to, but the one who ultimately suffers is the child.

I just had to get that rant out.

!Story! Some Intersting Info I Found about Michael Jackson

I found this article while I was over at BlackVoices.

PreAuthor, activist, nutrition expert and comedian Dick Gregory has taken the charges against pop star Michael Jackson personally. He completed a 40-day fast in support of Mr. Jackson and asked the superstar’s loyal fan base around the world to join him in a prayer vigil every day at noon "so that the truth comes out about Michael Jackson’s case." Mr. Gregory, who has known Michael Jackson for years, said, "He’s a good man and I feel that he’s been the target of a conspiracy to destroy his career. "In my opinion," Gregory said, "there are people who have a financial interest in bringing Michael down." Final Call staff writer Nisa Islam Muhammad sat down with Mr. Gregory to discuss his views on such a conspiracy surrounding Michael Jackson.

Dick Gregory (DG): Michael Jackson did something that no one thought a Black man would do. He purchased the Beatles catalog for $48 million and today it is worth $1.5 billion. He didn’t know when he bought it that the Beatles owned Little Richard’s music. Michael gave it back to Little Richard, who is very happy now. Michael also owns the Elvis Presley catalogs. A Black man owns (the music of) two of the most important music figures in the world and anytime something is played by either of them, Michael gets paid.viously when Michael needed money to produce an album he could go to Sony and borrow the money. They came to him with a deal that he would have to put up collateral for future loans; he put up the catalogs as collateral, not all of the catalogs, but enough of them for him to lose control if he forfeits the loans.

Whenever his new records come out, all of the nonsense takes place. I see this and know what the government will do. I have the autopsy of Malcolm X. Someone threw a smoke bomb in the back of the ballroom and someone ran up to the front and shot Malcolm. The autopsy says that all the bullets in Malcolm were shot from above; they go down. Now, the CIA admitted that they rented the Audubon Ballroom a week before. The person who gave Malcolm mouth-to-mouth resuscitation was an undercover cop. Lee Harvey Oswald (who shot President Kennedy in 1963) died from air bubbles, too. You don’t give mouth to mouth to gun shot wounds. That’s what kills them.

I think someone will either stage an accident and kill Michael Jackson, or kill him and make it look like suicide.

Final Call (FC): For the past few weeks, the Nation of Islam has been wrongfully accused of taking over Michael’s affairs. What do you think this uninformed journalism is about?

DG: When riots take place in major cities and the people begin to flee the cities, White businesses call for the Nation of Islam to restore the peace—but they don’t consider that using the race card. There is a double standard. You can’t deal with anything in this country unless you factor in racism and sexism.

White folks have advertised the Million Man March as the greatest march in history. What they didn’t say was that the Navy satellite recorded the attendance at 1.9 million or that all of the hotels were full to capacity for a 100-mile radius. There wasn’t any reefer or alcohol at the march that day. There were no arrests at the march, either. When you get 1.9 million Black men together in D.C. with no arrests and no fights, why wouldn’t Michael call the Nation of Islam for help?

If I were the federal government, I would put the Muslims at the airports. The first time I went to the mosque, they searched me so good they found something on me I had been looking for, for six months. They know how to search and how to search for the truth.

The conspiracy is to destroy Michael Jackson, so he can’t pay his debt to the record company, and anyone they can use to help discredit Michael, they will. I‘m not looking at this from an emotional viewpoint—I know Michael Jackson; he’s innocent.

FC: Michael Jackson has been called weird, "wacko jacko" and other names in the press. What are your thoughts about this?

DG: Was it weird for him never to have a childhood? Robert Blake took a gun with him to dinner and left it in the chair. When he went back to get it and returned to his wife, she was dead. No one classifies that as weird.

If you take away Michael’s genius and brilliance, you have a man with a child mentality. Children do and say what adults won’t. Children are trustworthy. There are people all over the world who are outraged by what is happening to Michael. That’s why I asked people to pray at noon all over the world that the truth will come out. My faith is that when the truth comes out, he’ll be cleared.

He’s innocent, childlike. They said Jesus was childlike.

Being childlike, he didn’t know that taking two fish and five loaves of bread and feeding 10,000 people was messing with the fishing industry, the economy and they will come and get you for doing that.

Michael offered to save the county money by turning himself in. He rented a jet to turn himself in. What does it cost to rent a jet? That’s what he saved the county. Why handcuff him?

Michael gets a $3 million bond. Max Factor heir (Andrew Luster) was charged in California with rape and released on $1 million bail. He didn’t have a $3 million bond. John DuPont, an heir to the DuPont fame, was charged with third degree murder. I’ve never even heard of third degree murder and he was allowed to plead temporary insanity.

If Michael is turning himself in, why does he need a $3 million bond? The press has not demanded that they show someone else with the same amount of bond for a similar case. When you say a $3 million bond, people around the world think you must know something.

If this happened after February, why did they wait so long to investigate Neverland? Why did they wait until Michael left town? Why were FBI agents at Neverland during the search? I thought the FBI only got involved with federal crimes. We learned that someone was privately filming Michael as he was being flown to California. The L. A. Times revealed that the owner of that jet company was an FBI informant and no one in the media is asking, how does this fit in with the FBI? Since when does a Black man own a jet fleet, right out of jail—that’s weird.

With any conspiracy, you don’t know how deep it goes or who’s involved.

What's The Matter With Kids Today? Pt.2

Australian boy feeds zoo animals to crocodile
Rare lizards and a turtle in Alice Springs reptile park
were either eaten alive or bashed to death first

A seven-year-old boy broke into a zoo in central Australia and fed several live animals to a crocodile while bashing others to death with a rock.

The boy killed 13 animals worth around A$7,000 (£3,070), including a turtle, bearded dragons and thorny devil lizards after scaling a security fence at the Alice Springs Reptile Centre in the Northern Territory on Wednesday, said the zoo's director, Rex Neindorf.

In 30 minutes he used a rock to kill three lizards, including the zoo's beloved 20-year-old goanna, which he fed to a 3.3m (11ft) saltwater crocodile named Terry that weighs 200kg (440lb).

The boy was caught on security camera as he threw live animals to Terry over the two fences surrounding the crocodile's enclosure.

At one point he climbed over the outer fence to get closer to the crocodile. Neindorf said the boy's face looked blank in the footage. "It was like he was playing a game."

The animals were not rare but some would be difficult to replace, said Neindorf. "We're horrified that anyone can do this, and saddened by the age of the child."

Alice Springs police said they had identified the local boy but could not press charges because of his age. Children under 10 are not criminally liable in the Northern Territory.

"By all accounts he's quite a nasty seven-year-old," said Neindorf, who plans to sue the boy's parents. "If we can't put the blame on to the child, then someone has to accept the responsibility."

The zoo's security system, which relies on sensors, probably did not detect the boy because of his size, Neindorf said

@Rent This@ My So Called Life (tv series)

When MSCL first premiered back in 1994, I admit, I didn't watch it. I think I saw like one episode and forgot all about it. Then it got canceled and went away. Until MTV started playing it and that is when I got hooked!!

MSCL is THE best teen show ever created! It's better then 90210, Dawson's Creek (even though I love these shows) and any other imitators ever written. The acting was awesome, the storylines were good and believable. You just can't get any better then this show.

I came across the box set at Amazon and I had to have it! I fall back in love with that show every time I watch it. I love all the characters, but my favorite is Ricky. I wish I had a Ricky in high school, hell I want a friend like that now!! He was so sweet and always put Rayanne's life before his own. He was just the best type of friend.

Plot - For those who never heard of the show, are they any, MSCL is about life. About teens dealing with, living through, changing and ultimately accepting their life. I was so Angela in high school. Full of self doubt, in love with a guy who didn't know I existed and trying to live with my mom who was the complete opposite of me in all ways possible. Only difference is I never got my guy, which was kinda a good thing. He might have gotten in the way of me and my now husband! And the guy I liked was so much like Jordan, gorgeous and not so bright.

I highly suggest you rent or better yet buy this awesome series.

Update: I have found some favorite scenes at YouTube, here they are.

!Story! The Power of One

I came across this article a few years back and thought I would share it with you guys, enjoy!

The Power of One
By Patrice Gaines, Special to AOL BlackVoices
Gale “Mama Sky” Edeawo is proof that there is power in one.

As founder, executive director, administrator and the sole staff of Project Welcome Home in Savannah, Ga., Edeawo visits the local county jail to teach women inmates life and literacy skills. When the women are released, she walks beside them as they make the transition back into the community. She finds employers willing to hire the women, then she helps them fill out job applications. She assists them in regaining custody of children being held by the state and accompanies the women to court. She searches for houses and apartments for them to rent, persuading real estate owners to give the women a chance.

“I teach them empowerment, the women in turn teach me endurance and perseverance,” said Edeawo, 59, known to many women as Mama Sky.

It was 2004 when Joyce Johnson, a 35-year-old mother of five, persuaded Mama Sky to help her. . Johnson had just returned home from her sixth stint in prison, serving time over the years for shoplifting, aggravated assault and forgery; most of her arrests were related to her crack cocaine habit she had.

When Johnson was released, the prison gave her $30 and a bus ticket home. Her family, Johnson said, had grown tired of her behavior. “Mama Sky was looking at what I was doing right then, not at what I had done. I told her I was tired of going back to prison and doing the same things. She told me she doesn’t accept everyone because not everyone is serious.”

Edeawo is a no-nonsense businesswoman with no time to waste on women who aren’t ready to transform themselves. Clients have to prove they are willing to work hard at changing, but once they convince her, Mama Sky, will walk with them every step of the way.

Edeawo found her life’s work in 1998, shortly after moving to Savannah, Ga., where she began teaching creative writing classes at a shelter for youth. “I realized a lot of their suffering was because of problems in the home,” she said, because many of the children had a parent or parents on drugs or incarcerated. “They shared letters from their moms in prison and I could see that these were not impossible women. I prayed for God to let me in the prisons.”

Her prayer was answered when someone invited her to join a new project working with imprisoned women. Within three months, all of the other volunteers had dropped out, but Edeawo, the lone survivor, had found her calling. Edeawo’s dedication earned her a solid reputation, and soon, social service agencies began referring women transitioning out of prison to her..

In 2001, she founded the nonprofit organization Project Welcome Home, fueling it with her credit cards and cash. She counseled women on park benches, in her car, or at restaurants until recently, when small donations and grants allowed her to open up an office.

Becoming a nonprofit and taking her volunteer work to another level is what Edeawo calls "part of the calling.” “I worked with the women long enough to see there is a serious need,” said Edeawo. “I'm the type of person who says, 'This is my world and if I want to enjoy it, I have to do something to change it.’" Most of her clients are reluctant to publicly talk about Mama Sky’s work because it means talking about their own troubles. But Johnson, the mother released in 2004, said she speaks for them.

“I had long sessions on the phone with Mama Sky. She came over to my house,” Johnson said. “She taught me that some money is better than none, not to fall back with old friends and that the power to change was within me.

“I only had two of my five kids,” she went on. “My 15-year-old son was getting in trouble and the courts had him. She went with me to court. She helped me find a Big Brother for him. She showed me how to speak without showing my temper. When I couldn’t get a place to live, she cried with me.”

When Johnson got down, she could hear Mama Sky’s voice in her ear, saying: “Your chance is coming; don’t slip.’’

ventually, Johnson found someone willing to rent her a two-bedroom home. By Christmas that year, she had all her kids and for the first time, and legal means to provide them with presents. “I went to work at McDonald’s, and I got two raises. [Mama Sky] said, ‘Be proud of your work and take care of your family.’ She taught me how to be a positive person. She believed in me.”
Now Johnson lives in a three-bedroom house and all of her children are doing well. She is working toward a career in public relations, and on June 10, one year and a day since she walked out of prison, she will be married.

"She pushed me out there when I didn't believe in me," said Johnson. “I am a new person because of Mama Sky. I started believing in myself."

I love caramel popcorn, I use to eat it for meal instead of for a snack. My love affair started in my teens, where I stumbled upon it at Pic-N-Save (remember that store?) and decided to give it a try. It was made by Orville Redenbacher's and originally came in a white box with blue letters.

It was the best thing ever! I use to buy two, three boxes at a time. My mom hated it, cause it stunk up the kitchen whenever I made it. It smelled like something was burning, which it kinda was. I would grab a big glass of milk to go with it and be in hog heaven.

But our love was put on halt after Pic stopped carrying it. But it was rekindle when I discovered it at Premier some months later. We broke up again and it was years before I even thought about caramel popcorn. I recently discovered it at Walmart a few years ago and it was back on. But this time it was with Act II instead of Orville. I was hesitant at first cause I didn't think it would be the same, but it was just as good!

Anyway, I started noticing that Walmart was carrying it anymore and started looking for it at other grocery stores. They didn't have it either. I got tired of looking so I contacted the Act II company to ask what stores carried it. I even ask if I could buy it straight from them. They informed me that they were not manufacturing/selling caramel popcorn anymore because of low sales! WHAT!! How is that possible!! Then the sent me a coupon for one of the other types of popcorn, as if I want any of that!!

Of course now, I will have to make my own caramel popcorn, which I don't want to do. And no regular caramel popcorn will not suffice!

/Random\ Life As I Know It

I am in my early thirties and have never had an actual job, must less a career. I worked for two years before I met my husband, got pregnant and quit my job. Lately I have been thinking about doing something with all this free time I have. My son is in 5th grade so he doesn't need me any more, so that is no excuse as to why I am still at home.

We don't necessary need the income, thank God, but I am so bored most of the time. There is only so many sites online I can read, only so many games I can play and only so many shows/movies I can watch!

My problem is that I don't have a passion for anything. I have several talents, but nothing I LOVE to do. So I can't decided what to focus on. I also have a fear of failure and a fear of success. Yeah it makes no sense, but that is who I am!

Am I the only one with this problem? Anyone else feel they are wasting their life way by doing nothing with the gifts God has blessed you with? Maybe I should start a support group!

~Quiz~ What Do You Stand For?

Here is a quiz I found at Quizilla.com.

What Do You Stand For?

Here are my results!

"You stand for many things, some more than others, some less than others. You have done a few mistakes and a few brave and good deeds in your life. You some rare true friends, and a few who may have crossed over to the dark side. You are this yet you are that. You stand for miscellaneous things. Let's just stay you stand for blah (in a very good way) You have had bad temptations, fought off a few, lost to a few, you have an even scoreboard."

I guess I need more excitement in my life.

!Story! Charges in Toddler’s Death

What the hell is wrong with people!! Stuff like this just makes me so sad!!

"A toddler whose remains were found inside a suitcase in Philadelphia this spring was starved to death by members of a religious cult, including his mother, in part because he refused to say “amen” after meals, the police said. Ria Ramkissoon, the mother of the boy, was charged Sunday with first-degree murder, and Baltimore police officials said that three other members of a group called 1 Mind Ministries have also been charged with first-degree murder. The police and Ms. Ramkissoon’s family say the group is a cult. Ms. Ramkissoon, 21, was being held in the psychiatric ward of the Baltimore Central Booking and Intake Center."

@Rent This@ Under the Cherry Moon

I am a huge Prince fan! I use to own almost every single album he has made. Until we got robbed, they took all but two of my prince cds!! I still haven't gotten over that! It's like they knew how much I loved him and they decided to further ruin my night. Anyway, regardless of the time and money put into my Prince collection the point is, Prince is one bad MoFo!

When Purple Rain came out, of course I was excited to see it, being a huge fan and all, but I must say, it is not one of my favorites. Yes the album was tight and all, but the movie was just o.k. If anyone other then Prince had been in it, it would have been terrible. Apparently, he was saving all his talents for his next movie which was "Under the Cherry Moon"! This is the best movie ever!!

Plot - Prince, as "Christopher" and his sidekick "Tricky", played by Jerome Benton, are male gigolos who seduce women in France until Prince meets "Mary", played by Kristin Scott Thomas, and falls in love with her. Her father hates him and will do anything to keep them apart.

Words can't describe all the awesome things going on in the movie! Prince sings, he bathes, he seduces, he drives around in his car, he fights, he wears suggestive clothing, he tells jokes and he has "sex". Sex is in quotes, because what they do can't only be describe that way. I am not ashamed to admit, I know every piece of dialog that all the characters say. I know this movie backwards and forward. Example, typed from memory:

Christopher - "You ever been to Miami baby?"
Mary- "The only thing in Miami are people who weren't born there and drugs."
Christopher - "But they no more then you'll ever learn in your little small sheltered world."
Trick - "Yeah!"

That is just a taste of what you would hear from the best movie ever! Here is a scene I found on YouTube, enjoy.

Scene

Go out and rent, buy, or borrow this movie, you might be disappointed cause it's not for everyone, but I love it!!!

Am I To Old For This?

I love Hanna Montana/Miley Cyrus! I watch the tv show and listen to her music, but I don't purchase the merchandise cause I have to draw the line somewhere. I loved the first album and I use to listen to it all the time in the car and on my computer. Of course, when I was in the car I would cut it down so no one could hear it! I knew all the songs by heart. It's hard for me to remember what I had for lunch yesterday, but I had the songs down packed.

When "The Best of Both Worlds" came out, I got it for my son, but I never listened to it. I didn't even think about it until my husband started mentioning a song that was getting heavy rotation on the radio. I never listen to the radio, unless it's online and an 80's channel, so I haven't heard it. It's called "See You Again" and it's by Miley. So I dug up the cd and it was on it and I loved it the first time I heard it!

Now she has another cd coming out and the first single in it is "7 Things". I saw the video on MTV and loved the song immediately. Now I might have to buy the new cd also. I know I can't be the only adult who listens to HM/MC cause the girl is worth billions, but I must ask, "Am I To Old For This?"

Hear are the two songs that made me a HM/MC fan once again:

See You Again

7 Things

/Random\ My Beef with Clothing Stores

While we were in Newport News, we did some shopping. I went looking for a cute summer dress and discovered something. They had no plus size section. Now, I have always been considered plus size, even before I had my son, but since then I have gained a tad more weight. It has always been hard for me to find clothes that fit.

i had a friend who was like a size 4 and we would go to the mall and she would have no problem finding an outfit. Me I found purses and shoes. And I was a 14 back then. So now that I am a size ?@ it is even harder to find something to fit me. Most stores have what they consider plus size, but I consider it medium size. In the store I am talking about, they went up to a size 14! They had some very pretty dresses to.

Now before you suggest I go on a diet and exercise, let me suggest something. Hell No!!! I love my body, all how many extra pounds and all. My husband thinks I am very sexy and I don't need anyone else's approval! Now that we have gotten pass that, let's move on.

My "beef" is that most women are a size 16 and up. Why can't clothing stores have a decent section for us phat girls. And where are all the plus size clothing lines I keep hearing about, but never see. I guess I am going to have to start making my own clothes. Sometimes when I do find plus size clothes they are uglay! Why can't they just put two of the cute ones together and make one for me?!

And one more thing, I do not want to wear a silk, multi-pattern mumu either! I went to this other store here in town and they had silk print mumus!! Who in the hell wears those things?

!STORY! $175 burger with gold!

From Yahoo News:

The burger, created by chef and co-owner Kevin O'Connell, seeks to justify its price with a Kobe beef patty, lots of black truffles, seared foie gras, aged Gruyere cheese, wild mushrooms and flecks of gold leaf on a brioche bun.

The eatery sells 20 or 25 per month in the fine dining room upstairs versus hundreds of $4 burgers each day at the diner counter downstairs, Tierney said.

The burger comes with golden truffle mayonnaise, Belgian-style fries and a mixed greens and tomato salad. O'Connell pairs the dish with many fine wines, a lager or a toasted brown beer, or ginger ale.

Without truffles, Boulud's burger costs $32. It has a ground sirloin patty stuffed with red wine braised short ribs.

Even when we win the lottery, I can't see spending that much on one burger. I would eat one though, if someone else bought it! For the complete story, follow the link below.

Hello Folks!

As you can see, I have not been updating my blog this week. It is because I was on vacation with my family. We went to Newport News, Virginia to see my husbands brother and his family. We drove the whole way. Yes, the whole way. It is a 10 hour drive and I do not recommend it at all!!!!

Those were the longest ten hours ever! But once we got there we had some fun. They live in Army housing, which provide very nice houses. On the inside the house are very beautiful. They were alittle close together for me, but hey it would be worth it. We didn't visit that many places but we went to the army and the navy's tax free store, can't remember what it is called. We went to the beach, well we walked on streets that were close to the beach. It was way to cold to get in any water.

Unfortunately for us, we picked a week when it was cold and raining to drive up there. We were very upset, but we adjusted. The air up there is so dry too. My lotion didn't have a chance and it was Johnson and Johnson! We took some fabu pic and all in all we had a good time.

There was this one restaurant we went to. I won't say the name, but they served the smallest portions of food I have ever seen. My husband and sister-in-law order steak and when it came out I started laughing. The meat was so small. It looked like a 2oz. I couldn't even hold it in until the waitress left. I laughed right in front of her! Hopefully she didn't know why I was laughing.

The trip home seemed alittle faster then on the way there. It always is. I am so glad to be home. I missed my house and I even missed our dog. Like the movie says, there is no place like home!

!STORY! "Grand Theft Auto" sales top $500 mln in 1st week

I was going to talk about this game when it came out last Tuesday, but life happens. Anyway I have loved the Grand Theft series since GTA 1. My favorite is "San Andreas". Of course "Vice City" had the best soundtrack. I use to cruise around in one of my many cars just listening to the radio, not a care in the world!

I suck at the games, of course, I can hardly pass the missions, so I use to borrow my brother's memory card and advance myself to the end. I know it's cheating, but after awhile I got tired of dying on the same mission over and over again. That doesn't stop me from wanting to play the new GTA. The game looks so awesome!

On the other GTA's I use to love to start a shootout with the cops, or just sniper people from the roof, get a few cars in a line and just blow up the whole thing, go and stock up on new outfits, go on a date with the only girlfriend I could get, wait til night time and go on a burglary spree, go to the beach and take pictures of the sea life, do drive-by's and occasionally have "coffee".

I didn't see what the problem was with the hidden code in the game. It is an adult game, it is not meant for anyone under 18 years of age. And if you bought your child a game rated M, don't blame the game makers for what they discover while playing it. Take the time to research what you are buying your kids.

Anywho this post was suppose to be about GTA 4 selling 6 million copies in it's first week! Unfortunately I won't be playing it no time soon, we don't have a PS3. :-(

Anyone have a PS3 they don't want, hit me up!

/Random\ Commercials

Usually when a commercial comes on I immediately hit the fast forward button on my DVR. But lately, when I' m forced to watch commercials, because I did not record the show, I have noticed a few that I actually like. When they come on, I don't even fast forward them! Which is something for me, cause like I said, I fast forward the commercials.

There are 3 commercials that stand out for me.

1. The Burger King Steakhouse - A couple just get there food and the wife asks for some napkins, in the middle of the husband talking to the cashier and guy literately pushes them out of the way so he can order his steakhouse. The first time I saw that, I busted out laughing for at least a minute. My husband thought I was crazy, but it was so funny! Youtube link

2. Another Burger King Steakhouse - In this one a car goes speeding toward Burger King and a guy gets thrown out of the car, runs in and orders a steakhouse burger. The car ends up crashing into some parked cars a few feet away. Hilarious! Youtube link

3. AT&T Wireless - A little girl gives her dad a stuffed monkey to take with him when he goes away on a business trip. Using his cell phone camera, he takes pictures of the animal posing on places he sees or visits and send them to his family. At the end he sends on of the monkey sitting on their mailbox and they realize he is home. The girl runs to him and hugs him. I think that is the sweetest thing. Youtube link

So readers, what are some of your favorite commercials?
